The NSW Police Rural Crime Prevention Team are investigating an incident where sheep were shot on a property west of Kempsey last month.

Sometime between Monday October 19 and Tuesday October 20, an unknown number of persons entered a paddock attached to a Temagog property, about 35 kilometres north-west of Kempsey, and shot two Dorper sheep.
One of the sheep, being a young lamb, survived the shot to its hind leg, while the second sheep had succumbed to her injuries of being shot in the neck and died in the paddock.
Anyone with information regarding the shooting of the sheep is urged to contact the Rural Crime Investigator at Kempsey Police Station on 6561 6199 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers 1800 333 000.
