Janice Ball, racing royalty of the Macleay Valley, will celebrate her birthday with the Ball family entering Blood Red Sky in Race 2.
It's been a special year for the family with Janice and Peter notching up 60 years of marriage back in September.
"She'll have a lovely day - a day at the races is always a good day for Mum and we'll have around 25 people coming to celebrate along with a cake," Janice's daughter, Gaye, told the Argus.
Race club secretary, John Graham, expects a standard but quality showing on Saturday.
"We'll have the 25 coming to celebrate Janice's birthday, and expect around 20 coming up from Forster so we should end up with a nice little crowd," he told the Argus.
Originally the meet was going to feature six races but due to a lack of nomination there will only be five with Race 1 starting at 2:30. The usual COVID rules still apply.
The Macleay Valley will have around four with Ball's gelding in Race 2 along with Hilary Dew's Rizzoli.
Barry Ratcliff has nominated Neptune's Wink in Race 3 and Gwennybegg in Race 4.
Entry for Saturday is $5 with gates open at 11:30am.
