In the 24 hours to 7am on Saturday, Coffs Harbour airport had recorded almost 150mm.
Kombu's weather station in the centre of Bellingen was reading 134mm but on the north side we tipped 160mm from our gauge before breakfast. And it's still coming down solidly.
A Severe Weather Warning for heavy rainfall, which may lead to flash flooding, has been issued for the Mid North Coast.
Last night, the Bureau of Meteorology was predicting "minor to major" flooding for the Bellinger and Kalang Rivers.
"High water levels due to spring tides are also forecast over the next few days, which adds to the risk of flooding in lower tidal areas," they said.
