Maddie Butterfield has been crowned the Macleay Sportsperson of the Month for December and received a trophy and a $100 voucher to the Kempsey Macleay RSL Club restaurant for her brilliant achievement.

The talented 18-year-old won the Kempsey Golf Club ladies championship recently to go with her victory in the Frederickton ladies Golf championship in the middle of the year.
Golf has always been an interest of Maddie's but she only really started getting into the sport around five years ago with the help of various mentors.
She also participates in boxing at PCYC and has been in the North Coast Academy of Sport for the past three years.

A sportsperson of the year will be decided upon in January 2021 with an additional voucher of $500 for the restaurant awarded to the winner.
