Police arrested a 34-year-old man with an outstanding arrest warrant.
The warrants relate to three offences including:
- Police Pursuit - not stop - drive at speed
- Drive motor vehicle during disqualification period
- Fail to appear in accordance with bail acknowledgment
The man was refused bail to appear at Kempsey Local Court later that day and has subsequently been granted conditional bail to appear at Kempsey Local Court on May 14, 2021.
Man to face court for refusing breath test at South West Rocks
About 12.20am on Sunday January 17, officers from South West Rocks stopped a Subaru Forrester due to its manner of driving.
Officers then subjected the driver to a breath test, which returned a positive result.
The driver - a 41-year-old man - was arrested and taken to South West Rocks Police Station, where he allegedly refused to submit to a breath analysis.
The man had his licence suspended by police and was issued with a Court Attendance Notice for refuse or fail to submit to breath analysis.
The South West Rocks man will be before Kempsey Local Court on Monday February 15, 2021.
