On Saturday 30th Kempsey Swimming Club hosted a Speedo Sprint Series carnival, which attracted 180 swimmers from up and down the coast, registering over 900 entries to compete in 106 events.

Kempsey were well represented by 31 club members on the day.
The competitors were excited to have the opportunity to race using the newly installed starting blocks.

It was the first carnival for the club where they were available - courtesy of the Community Sporting Grants program and Kempsey Shire Council who managed the installation.
Member for Cowper Pat Conaghan was present, getting around the crowd and selling tickets in the fundraising raffle that had been generously donated by Nestle Smithtown.
Kempsey Macleay RSL Sportsperson of the year and Club Captain Max Farrell drew the raffle and to the delight of the crowd life member Robert Guyer was the lucky winner.
