Lindsey Wall and the event seem to be a match made in heaven as the Yamba based athlete added another win to his tally.
Wall won the triathlon for the first time back in 2016 with a time of 01:08:46 before winning again in 2019 at 01:06:09.
His time this year bested the previous two, finishing in 01:02:55.
The overall female positions were:
- 1st, Melanie Sivester
- 2nd, Emma McInnes
- 3rd, Emma Tamblyn
In the overall male positions:
- 1st, Lindsey Wall,
- 2nd, Michael Ylinen
- 3rd, Isaiah Koopmans and Lleyton Wall
Locally, the athlete who finishes first receives a free entry for next year with Tamblyn the first local female.
In the male division, controversy has ensued.

Dean Thurgood was placed first but the debate rages on as to Thurgood's postal address and Monday would've surely been an interesting day at work with his boss, Michael Kemp, finishing second.
Andrew Kirby, of the Hat Head Tri Club, held an online presentation post competition to comply with COVID restrictions and was pleased to see forecasted rain hold off.
"Today the weather gods were with us, we had to cancel last year because we were stormed out which was the first time in 30 years," he explained.
"Things shaped up well, we had to shorten the ride course after storm damage out near the lighthouse made conditions too tricky but apart from that everything was good.
"We had a great crew today working with us, it was great working in with the experienced Trial Bay crew who have been doing it so long without assistance."
Attention for our fit locals will now turn to the next running event to be held at South West Rocks.
"Later in June we'll be taking on the running festival here at South West Rocks, we'll be offering the 5km, 10km, 21km and full marathon," Kirby said.
"It's one of the longest running rural marathon courses in NSW with planning already underway."
