Today (Wednesday February 17) saw Northern NSW Football hold the draw for FFA Cup preliminary rounds.
Two locals clubs, Macleay Valley Rangers and Kempsey Saints are apart of the Northern Conference with that conference spanning from Byron Bay to Boomerang Beach.
Due to the amount of teams round two will see only one fixture played while the rest of the teams have the bye.

That match will be between Byron Bay and Pacific Palms Panthers - the two teams that have the largest distance between each other!
Whoever wins that match will go into the round three draw.
With a total of 17 teams, the chances of a local derby were moderate but that's the way it went with Saints and Rangers drawn to play each other with Kempsey to be the home side.
Round two of the FFA Cup will be played on March 13 or 14 with the following round scheduled for the next weekend as stated on Northern NSW Football's Facebook.
