
A gofundme page has been set up by the family of Mason Powick after he was involved in a life threatening, single vehicle car accident on Saturday February 13.
The incident occurred on Left Bank Road, Kinchela where he was flown by the NSW Rescue Helicopter Service to John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle and has since been on life support whilst in an enduced coma due to his servere head injuries.
"Mason's entire immediate family are residing in Newcastle in the hope that he will be well enough to wake up and come back to us soon, leaving behind working commitments and the security of home," the gofundme page reads.
Powick has previously been a member of the Smithtown Tigers and Kempsey Dragons Rugby League Clubs and was training with South West Rocks Marlins.
Powick had also joined the Crescent Head Country Club in 2020 as an apprentice greenkeeper.
At the time of printing the fundraiser has received $7,202 in support.
