Rylah Hopper-Buckland has been crowned the Macleay Sportsperson of the Month for February and received a $100 voucher to the Kempsey Macleay RSL Club restaurant for his efforts.

This is Rylah's second time receiving the award after being Sportsperson of the Month in June 2019.
Rylah is apart of the Crescent Head Pointers Swimming Club.
In 2021 alone he has qualified at a state level in Speedo sprints in all four strokes and will be competing next week.
He also recently swam in his school carnival at Crescent Head Public School and received 1st in individual events and junior champion
He also set a new school record in the 50m freestyle.
Rylah competed in the Trial Bay Milo Micro Triathlon finishing 13th in the 8-10 age group and second out of the eight-year-old's.

The Macleay Argus will determine the monthly and yearly winner of the award.
A sportsperson of the month will be decided upon in March 2021 with an additional voucher of $100 for the restaurant awarded to the winner.
