The winner progresses through to the preliminary final while the loser has an early silly Sunday or mad Monday.
On a soft deck, Rovers captain Scott Witchard only had one plan in mind.
As the coin landed in his favour, bowling first was the decision.
First ball of the day saw entertaining batsman Andrew Watts cream an off drive for four but the show was short-lived.
A sharp catch in first slip from Danny Powick removing the opener off the bowling of Ben Brennan.
14 dot balls then brought pressure as Tyron Smith was caught behind off Witchard.
The seventh over saw Witchard bowl four dots to Grant McMillan before pushing back mid-off and mid-on.
The plan worked as McMillan's eyes lit up with a good length slower ball fooling him with the bails flying.
3/20 soon became 6/38 as Jonte Ross and Ethan Brown joined the wickets party.
Jamie Cooper and Brendan Roache looked like they could add valuable runs until some Ben Brennan magic.
Off the bowling of Ross, Cooper gently flicked the delivery to Brennan at mid-wicket.
The young quick then picked up the ball in his right hand and threw with one stump to aim at.
A call of 'got him' came from Witchard backing up as the ball crashed into the stumps.
The cheers were as expected for a direct hit with Cooper not even in shot (as pictured above).
The score, now 7/52, quickly turned to all out for 64 with Roache the top scorer on 17.
Witchard (3/7 off 6 overs) and Ross (3/23 off 4) the pick of the bowlers.
Rovers innings got off to an entertaining start with Pat Brennan caught behind off Jamie Cooper in the first over.
At least that was the initial decision made.
Frederickton, in a great show of sportsmanship, called Brennan back after the catch was dropped.
The innings didn't last much longer with Brennan skying a hook shot in the 3rd over.
Brett Williams and Tom Powick then had a mini partnership before the introduction of Nic Marriott brought about the wicket of Powick.
The first ball of his 11th over, proved to be one of the deliveries of the day as Marriott used height to his advantage to get a short-length ball to rear up at Brett Williams and have him caught in the gully.
Rovers, now 3/26, found themselves in a precarious position.
However, the entry of captain Witchard brought about a change of fortune.
The skipper went about getting the runs as quickly as possible, hitting 33 off 27 balls.
Before the final over, Grant McMillan was determined to get his retribution after Witchard claimed his wicket earlier.
With his second delivery, McMillan bowled the ball at a top of off stump line and length.
A mistimed shot by Witchard saw the chance for a catch at short-cover.
To the disappointment of McMillan, Andy Watts dropped a sharp chance, with his mind possibly on post-match schooners.
Witchard ultimately hit the winning runs the next ball with the target reached in 15.3 overs.
Rovers will now play South West Rocks at Jim Stirling Oval for a spot in the grand final.
