Recently, the Argus spoke to Crescent Head's Amelia Teisseire, who was selected for the under 16's Australian Futsal team to tour Taiwan in April 2022.
Her Eagles side came off a massive win at the national championship which doubled in her representative selection.
Kundabung resident Jordan Brady is another young footballer set to represent his country after being informed of his selection for the under 14's Australian Futsal team to tour New Caledonia.
The tours will take place at the same time, pending the COVID-19 situation.
Jordan's Futsal career started around 16 months ago in interesting circumstances.
"Dad was refereeing futsal and I was kicking the ball around at the stadium while I waited for him to finish," he told the Argus.
"Mick Day then asked me if I'd like to play nationals and it went from there."
Playing nationals meant he joined the East Coast Eagles and the journey began.
The Eagles unfortunately only managed one win, defeating the ACT.
While his side didn't have a great deal of success at the competition, his individual performances certainly stood out.
"I was laying in bed and then Dad got the email about my selection," he recounted.
"I was happy and a bit shocked at the same time."
Just like Amelia, the tour will mark Jordan's first trip overseas - something he's definitely excited about.
"I'm keen to meet all the new teams and meet new people - I won't know many players from my team," he said.
He wasn't aware New Caledonia was a french speaking country until his father informed him.
After previously playing for Kempsey Saints in outdoor football, Jordan is now turning his focus solely towards Futsal.
He's thankful for all the support he's received in getting him this far.
"My success is due to the training and time that Mick Day and Dad [James Brady] have put into my development over the last 24 months," he explained.
"East Coast Eagles way of training is 100% positivity, 100% effort every time and any young or young at heart person should play Futsal with the East Coast Eagles."
The potential for another overseas visit may also eventuate in July 2022 with the Eagles harbouring plans to tour Italy.
