The community numbers are impressive, from Bulahdelah North to SW Rocks, 31 Clubs, 550 teams, 6,430 players, 1,100 coaches and managers, 140 referees and a team of hundreds of volunteers have started the soccer season.
The competitions run weekly through to the final series in September.
"It's great to be back in 2021 after the roller coaster ride of the high pandemic drama filled 2020 season. We have huge numbers returning and close to our previous record numbers of past seasons," Football Mid North Coast Chairman Mike Parsons said on May 9.
"Registrations are up over a thousand from last year bringing us back close to our record numbers of 2019, with some clubs still taking late registrations.
"What has been extremely pleasing in the run up to the FIFA Women's World Cup, to be hosted by Australia and New Zealand in 2023, is the increase in our female participation numbers with 13 additional Girls teams.
