HE'S back, and in a big way too. Graheme Martin's win in the top grade of last week's Kempsey Veterans Golf Club stableford event really did prove the point.

Sidelined some time back as the result of a motorcycle ride out west that went wrong, the former Champion and the Club's No. 1 chef now seems to have shaken off his mishap.
Graheme chalked up 31 points for the 14 holes he traversed on foot with buggy in tow and that's pretty good for any golfer, let alone one holding down a single five handicap figure.
While 31 points were enough to claim an A-grade victory, it was surpassed by B-grader Bruce Morris.
This Kempsey Shire Councillor topped the pole in the 44-strong field with 35 points to his name.
Proud as punch was Bruce when seeing him in the carpark, and immediate thoughts were that the top echelon is awaiting you my friend.
A repeat of last week will have our handicapper sharpening his pencils. (So to speak).
Lesserlights they may be with them boasting - ie with plenty of pride - about their successes, too, and this time we once again say "well done" to Doug Magennis.
For a fellow who almost gave the game away not that long ago, his 31-point round has to be sort of a leverage or influence to stay with it.
A real stickler for finding favourite sticks is Doug.
Word from a close mate is that Doug possesses many a set down under in his shed, and one supposes with his vastly improved form of late that he has finally found the right utensils.
Stick with 'em mate!
New balls went to an octet led by Ray Moodie and Hilton Barnett with 32 points, and Mark Townsend followed just the sole point away.
The other unlucky ones on 30 points were Wayne Cooper, Kevin Hopping, Paul Dykes, Barry Pearson and Phillip Pinney.
Nearest the pin at the Alan Macdonald Memorial $100 Third Hole-in-One went to Martin (A), Barnett (B) and Milton Riggs (C).
Chris Gorman (A) and Barnett completed a double at the 11th hole.
Chip-ins were performed by Leo Hauville, Wayne Hutley, Moodie, Dykes and Cooper.
Today's event is a 14-hole 2BBB Stableford & Individual rider with the front nine holes dominating.
Visitors are more than welcome, and invited to take part.
