The conditions at the Kempsey Golf Club last Saturday were very much the same as the week before a very windy day but no rain.

With these conditions on the day and the course again playing long due to the wet weather from days before the players did find the scoring very hard.
The day was the 2021 Dick Hilliard Memorial and with a field of 62 players every one did enjoy themselves.
The 18 hole Medley Single Stableford event saw some good scores across the 3 grades.
A return to form on the day saw Graeme Dyet take out the 'A' grade after some good play in the windy conditions with a very good round of 37 points to comfortably win with veteran Graham Martin the runner up player on the day with 35 points on a countback.
In the 'B' grade on Saturday the winner was Chris Edmonds with a very good round of 41 points and I'm sure he will be checking his handicap before hitting off tomorrow.
With a score of 36 points on a countback Neville Jackson was the runner up player.
After a win two weeks ago and another win last week Josh Swan made it 3 weeks in a row in the 'C' grade and on Saturday had a score of 36 points for his victory.
Wayne (birdseed) Simmons returned to the winners circle with a runner up spot on Saturday with his score of 34 points.
On the day club member Barry Cantrill provided two prizes on the day.
The first one went to the best junior and the winner was Nathan Moran while the best under 25 player was Josh Swan.
The winners of the ntp's at the 3rd hole on the day were Chris Kerr 'A', Wayne Simmons 'C'& Jessica Pritchard'L'.
On the 8th hole the winners were Bryn Davies 'A', David Hulme 'B'.
Peter Townsend 'A' & Cassie Black 'L' were the winners at the 11th hole while at the tough 16th hole the winners were Paul Brose 'A', Paul Stubbs 'C' & Gail Simon 'L'.
Darren De Joux was this weeks winner at the super tee ntp on the 18th hole.
In the weekly ball competition the winners on the day were players with a score of 31 points and they can be collected from the pro shop at the club anytime along with any unclaimed vouchers from the event.
Saturday at the club the Members and visitors will play in the 2021 Zach & Jessica Pritchard 18 hole 2 person Ambrose event.
The day will also be the Qualifying round for the 2021 Keno Ambrose event.
This will be held in Men's, Ladies & Mixed teams with the best team going on to the next stage later in the year.
To enter the Keno event you must paid an extra $5 per team on the day.
All players intending to play tomorrow can book in now at the club or go online to book in for your round and for more information about the upcoming events please give the club a call.
All members and visitors at the club are reminded of the COVID19 rules at the club and please wear your mask and scan in before you enter the club.
With the Tokyo Olympics starting this weekend we wish the four Aussie golfers the very best in there quest for gold.
In the men's event there will be Cameron Smith & Marc Leishman while in the ladies there will be Hannah Green and Min woo Lee. Good luck to the Aussie team in every sporting event at the games.
