
On Saturday the 28th August 2021 the members and visitors at the Kempsey Golf Club took to the fairways for the staging of the 2021 Kempsey Vets 18 hole Medley Single Stableford event which attracted a great field of 114 players on the day.
With the players hitting off in groups of two due to COVID19 rules the players were on the course at 7 o'clock and played some very good golf.
The Kempsey Vets have been a super sponsor of the club for a good number of years and we all thank them very much.
Junior Richard Campbell continue his fine form from last week and again took out the 'B' grade with a very good round of 42 points and he had a one point margin over his nearest rival Michael Terlich with 41 points as the runner up.
Taking out the 'C' grade again with a very good score of 41 points was Jessica Pritchard who has not been back to golf for long after a lay off due to family commitments. William Pollock had a round of 41 points and was awarded the runner up prize.
This week in the top grade the winner was Kevin Smith with a very solid round of 39 points, while Azza Smith was the runner up with his score of 38 points on a countback.
Winners of the ntp's at the 3rd hole were Jarrod Lipscombe 'A', Mitch Clarke 'B', William Pollock 'C', Deniece Dyet 'L'.
On the 8th hole the winners were David Welsh 'A' and Jenny Preston 'L'.
The 11th hole winners were Darren Holten 'A', Darcy Ellis 'B', James Conomos 'C'.
At the tough 16th hole there was a family affair of winners on Saturday with a husband and wife pairing winning ntp's, Zachary Pritchard 'A' & Jessica Pritchard 'L' were winners on the par 3 hole along with Ray Moodie 'C' & Richard Campbell 'B'.
The weeks victors of the super tee ntp on the 18th hole was Steve Trott with a very good shot to the green.
In the weekly ball competition the winners were players with a score of 33 points on a countback and they can be collected from the pro shop at the club anytime along with any unclaimed vouchers from the event, just check with Mike or Bradley at the club.
Saturday at the Kempsey Golf Glub is a very special day with all players required to wear your favourite footy team colours for team footy day.
The 2021 Millyhill Meats day will be a 18 hole Medley Single Stroke event for the Monthly Medals in each grade with the first group hitting off at 7 o'clock.
All intending players wishing to play can book in now at the club or go online to book in for your round and please remember you are playing in groups of two on the day.
All players are again reminded to obey the COVID19 rules and please wear your mask while you are at the club.
