DETECTIVES have charged a man over his alleged involvement in an armed robbery on the Mid North Coast last year.
Strike Force Kelburn was established by the State Crime Command's Robbery and Serious Crime Squad to investigate multiple armed robberies in the Kempsey area between November and December.
So far during the investigation three males - aged 16, 17 and 18 - have been charged and remain before the courts.
Following further inquiries, strike force detectives, with assistance from Mid North Coast Police District, executed a search warrant at a home at South Kempsey at about 7am today.
As a result, police seized clothing and electronic items which will undergo forensic examination.
A 29-year-old man was arrested and taken to Kempsey Police Station, where he was charged with two counts of robbery armed with offensive weapon.
Police will allege in court the man threatened an employee with weapons, then stole cash, during the armed robbery of a club on Valley Way, Kempsey, around 7pm on Sunday, December 13.
The man appeared at Kempsey Local Court today, where he was formally refused bail to reappear at the same court on Wednesday, October 20.
Investigations under Strike Force Kelburn continue.
