GET your motors running because there's a day just for Holden lovers at Wauchope on November 28.
In 1948 the first Holden rolled of the Fisherman's Bend assembly line.
Then Prime Minister Mr Ben Chifley declared 'She's a beauty' and our first fully Australian made car was born.
Last year a National Drive Your Holden Day was held all over Australia and from that, the Hastings Holden Pride Family Event was established.
There will be plenty to see and do at Wauchope Showground on Sunday from 9am to 2pm.
The gold coin donation entry goes to the Mid North Coast Brain Rehabilitation Service (Port Macquarie Hospital) and there will be people there on the day explaining what invaluable work they do.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter Support Group will be serving steak/sausage sandwiches and cold drinks so you won't go hungry.
There will be paintings of Holden motor cars for sale and a great raffle with Charcoal Picnic BBQ Grill donated by Mid North Coast Heating & BBQs .
There will be one special trophy given out on the day to the best Holden on display and this award is in memory Jamie Hickson who passed away from cancer. He was a Holden man through and through, and from now on this award will be given each year in his memory.
