Award-winning author and illustrator Sami Bayly will be running a workshop at the Kempsey Masonic Hall on January 17th.
Sami is a natural history illustrator based in Australia, who loves all things weird and wonderful. She finds the beauty and importance of all animals.
She was the Winner of the 2020 Indie Awards Children's Book Of The Year for her book- The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Ugly Animals, and is also known for other works such as - The Illustrated Encyclopaedia of Dangerous Animals and The Illustrated Encyclopaedia of Peculiar Pairs in Nature.
The workshop will involve a deep dive into the world's most interesting creatures. It will include an author talk and creative activities, where you will learn how to draw your very own ugly, dangerous or peculiar creature and discover what it takes to be a scientific illustrator.
For children ages 5 - 12 years. Please book into one session only.
This event will be held at the Kempsey Masonic Hall, 24 Tozer Street, Kempsey. Bookings essential. Register online or by calling Kempsey Library on (02) 6566 3210.
