Riverside Festivities: Kempsey, December 1-3
A huge weekend of festivities has been planned for Kempsey To celebrate International Day of People with Disability (IDPWD) Kempsey's Riverside Park will again play host to the Big Day Out on Friday, December 1. This is an inclusive event that the whole community is invited to attend. It will be followed by the Kempsey Twilight Christmas Markets and then the Spirit of the Macleay Dragon Boat Regatta, also seen from the riverbank.
Charity giveaway: Hat Head, December 2
The North Coast Trucking Social Club is holding its annual Christmas Party and Charity giveaway this Saturday at Hat Head Park, from 11am. This family day is also a chance for the club to giveaway money raised during the recent Kempsey Truck Show, to local charities in need. There will be families activities and food and drinks. Parents can bring wrapped gifts for Santa to give to their children.
Up the Macleay: Nulla Nulla Gallery, Kempsey
Immerse yourself in the stunning world of Macleay Valley landscapes through Simon Mark's captivating oil paintings. From pristine beaches to rolling pastures - 80 of his works are now on display at the Nulla Nulla Gallery at the Slim Dusty Centre in Kempsey.
Summer Reading Club: Kempsey Libraries, December 1
The Summer Reading Club (SRC) is a free program that encourages kids to read, play and try out new things during the school holidays. This year, children aged 3-18 years, can complete 16 challenges for the chance to win some amazing prizes! Attend any Kempsey Shire Library branch and collect a reading passport. New Year's Eve Fireworks: Kempsey
On the river at the Kempsey RSL is the only place to be this New Years Eve. Bring the whole family and enjoy the jumping castle, entertainment by DJ Terry, face painting, balloons, and food and drinks - all ahead of the fireworks.
