A fire destroyed a home on George Hardiman Ave, West Kempsey, on Monday morning, June 18.

The Kempsey Fire and Rescue unit received a call out at 8.45am and arrived on the scene at 8.58am to find the home on fire with smoke exiting the building.
The firefighters were informed the residents were potentially in the property and they immediately went into offensive mode to battle the blaze.
The fire was contained by 9.11am and a primary and secondary search inside the home was undertaken and completed at 9.17am. There was no one found inside the one-storey building.
Three fire trucks and the Hazmat from Port Macquarie were used to extinguish the house fire.
The cause of the fire is currently under police investigation.
