The money was raised at last year’s annual Blue Moon Bull Riding event in December and brings the total amount raised by the bull riding fundraiser to around $50,000.
Peter raises money for the rescue service because the Westpac Rescue Helicopter saved his life in 2011 after a bull riding accident where Peter sustained serious head injuries
Mr Farley said giving back to the community is why he continues to organise the event.
“It’s really to give back to the community with the one thing I know a lot about,” Mr Farley said.
“You never know who is going to need the helicopter service.”
In the last six years the event has been running, many community members, local businesses and bull riders from across the country have been involved.
“Any local businesses can get involved in the fundraiser,” Mr Farley said.
This years Blue Moon Bull Riding fundraiser event will be held on November 10.
“The best bull riders in the country will be there,” Mr Farley said.
