The Pirates lost every match of the 2017/18 Premier League season.
Nulla entered the game on the back of a victory in their first match of the season but they weren’t able to crack the strong batting display from the Pirates.
Nulla set a total of 162 on the back of Craig Parker (50), Shane Crouch (37) and Bryce Widdison’s (24) strong scores.
However, Nulla’s lethal bowling attack wasn’t able to lay the crucial blows as Pirates’ Ambrose Humphreys (52), Tom Connolly (48) and Jared Humphreys (unbeaten 31) combining to chase down the total in the 35th over.
The win lifts the Pirates into second place on the ladder at the early stages of the competition.
Nulla have a fortnight to regroup as they have the bye before they face rivals Rovers at home.
