The Kempsey Greyhound Club is hosting a meet this Saturday and the organisers are hopeful people will turn up to celebrate Australia Day and show support for the local club.

“As all clubs are in the greyhound industry, we are really doing it tough and are struggling quite a bit,” Kempsey Greyhound Club vice-president Sue Wade said.
“We are hopeful the locals will attend to show their support and contribute to keeping greyhound racing alive in Kempsey.”
The first race will commence at 1pm with up to 10 races expected to jump.
A bookmaker will be available while attendees will also be able to place bets on the totes.
A barbecue and beverages will also be available.
