Liam Taylor and Craig Parker are racing the clock to return after suffering work injuries but Nulla captain Ben Taylor believes the team has quality replacements.
“We’ll have a couple of players out this Saturday but we have got a big squad so there’s others ready to go,” Taylor said.
“Sam Cole is likely to come into the top order after scoring plenty of runs in the lower grades and batting well in the Twenty20 matches last week.
Nulla's season is arguably on the line in the round 11 clash, as Nulla, who are in equal last position, look to revive their season with seven games remaining but Taylor knows the Magpies are a strong opponent.
“The Magpies seem a very strong team, they’re solid across the board with some leading senior players like captain Ben Marron and fast bowler Brendan Badenoch, plus a few others,” Taylor said.
“The real key will be showing some grit with the bat and giving ourselves 40 overs to post a total.
“Competition points are vital now but we can’t do anymore than play our best one week at a time.”
The scheduled match will commence at 1pm at Oxley Oval.
