While the residents at the local aged care facility are often treated to events and excursions, this week they have been spoilt.
The community was invited to help celebrate the senior's festival today as the residents were treated to a vintage car show in the morning and dancing in the afternoon.
"The Kempsey Macleay Auto Restorers Club brought their cars onto the lawn and into the car park and the residents all loved taking a tour around and reminiscing as they looked at touched the amazing vehicles," Cedar Place recreations activity officer Donna Gill said.
"We invited the community to attend to spend time with the residents and get a little snippet into their daily life.
"A lot of people think that once you go to an aged care facility that all you do is stay in a bed, well that's far from the truth here, we do our best to keep them active and entertained all the time."
The aged care residents also presented Marketing and Seniors' Librarian Mary Williams with flowers for helping to provide them with books.
Ms Williams has worked collaboratively with Ms Gill to "bring the library" to the residents on a regular basis.
The senior's festival continued into the afternoon as the residents gathered to watch and take part in ballroom dancing to the famous music of resident Graham Kesby.
