Shae-ala will compete in the SNSW Country Championships this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Sydney Olympic Aquatic Centre (SOPAC).
The 14-year-old will represent Crescent Head in four events; 400m Individual Medley, 200m Freestyle, 100m Backstroke and the 200m Backstroke.
"I'm feeling really good about competing there again and I hope to have good swims," Shae-ala said.
Her little cousin Frankie, 9, is really excited to be participating in the Speedo Sprint Finals held on March 9 at SOPAC.
Frankie qualified for the 50m backstroke in the heats held in Kempsey earlier this month and this will be her third year qualifying for the finals.
“It will be my birthday on the day I race,” Frankie said. “I’m really excited."
Both girls have been training well at the Crescent Aquatic Centre and are really supportive of one another.
