Rovers were staring down the barrel of a defeat at the hands of rivals Nulla, which would have been a massive setback to their finals aspirations, as the latter were cruising at 5/115 chasing 134 for victory with plenty of overs in the bank.

However, a team effort from the Rovers bowlers resulted in crucial wickets as Nulla fell for 128.
Chris White (19) was the first to drop at the start of the batting collapse as he fell at the hands of Josh Brenton while Nulla all-rounder Dan Baker was bowled by Harry Nemme the next over to give Rovers a chance.
The final four Nulla batsmen failed to reach double digits as Rovers claimed the five run victory.
The Rovers win cements them in fifth position and puts them within five points of the second placed United.
Rovers were sent in to bat to start the game and they were without their in form opener Callan McKiernan, who had scored more than 180 runs in his past two games.
McKiernan's replacement at the top of the order, captain Ethan Dowling, did a commendable job to get the ball rolling before he was dismissed for 11.
Fellow opener Tim Smith (31) and youngster Jye Woodger (37) contributed to score the majority of the side's runs.
Harry Nemme (13) and Matt Scott (11) scored crucial runs as lower order batsmen.
Despite posting a low total of 133, Rovers bowler Scott claims the side was still capable of preventing a successful run chase.
"We were confident of defending the total because we knew it was a bowlers pitch," Scott said.
"It did a lot when we were batting.
"Harry Nemme picked up the wicket of Andy Watts in the first over and then Matt Scott bowled Mark Smee at the end of the second over to put us in a strong position.
Scott picked up two more wickets and Nulla were 4/30 before they scored 80 runs for the loss of one wicket.
Nulla captain Ben Taylor was disheartened his side wasn't able to go on with the job.
"We were all very disappointed," Taylor said.
"We lost from an almost unloseable situation so it was hard to swallow."
Taylor had plenty of praise for his rivals.
"Full credit to Rovers they never said die and finished stronger than us. Looking back at it the four runs difference was probably in their fielding, they were brilliant there," he said.
Meanwhile Scott claims Rovers, which have relied heavily on their batting throughout the season, has more confidence in their bowling attack.
"This was a big victory for us as it put us two points out of the top four but also that we can do the job with ball and in the field under pressure to win those matches," Scott said.
Rovers face off with Taree West at the Kempsey Golf Club this Saturday while Nulla host the competition leaders Wingham at South Kempsey.
