However, Chris White (73) and Jamie Cooper (48) combined for a 132 run partnership and put Nulla on their backs as contributed to a total of 207.
The partnership was the best by Nulla teammates so far this season and it boosted the side's confidence convincingly.
"At 5/37 I think most people at the ground thought it’d be an early finish," Nulla captain Ben Taylor told the Argus.
"But Chris and Jamie were great. They showed real character with their backs against the wall and all the boys were encouraging every run once they got going. They were both near faultless innings.
"There was handy gritty runs after them too to take the total over 200.
"Wingham would’ve been disappointed to let it slip a bit after some great new ball bowling."
Mark Smee and Andrew Watts both added 17 each with the bat.
Nulla was then able to get the job done with the ball in hand, as they dismissed Wingham for 165 at the end of the 38th over to produce the upset of the season.
Taylor was ecstatic with the victory and proud of the performance from his team, who has little to play for.
"The bowling and fielding was top notch. Dan Morrison got the two big wickets," Taylor said.
"Mark Smee was great as well. I can’t give him a big enough wrap he’s a versatile cricketer and has played every role for us this year, bar keeping wicket, and done it well."
Smee (3/23) was the pick of the bowlers while Morrison (2/27), Dan Baker (2/24), White (3/39) and Taylor (1/30) chimed in to dismiss the rest of Wingham's batsmen.
Taylor said the side enjoyed the victory and they were glad to break the losing streak.
"It was good to see the fellas with a smile on their face and enjoy themselves after a rough trot," Taylor said.
It's a massive victory for the bottom placed Nulla side as they look to avoid the wooden spoon.
Nulla currently sit three points adrift of Macquarie, who are in second last position on the table, with three rounds remaining in the regular season.
Nulla will need to win at least one of their remaining games to avoid the dreaded last spot on the ladder and other results will need to go their way.
Nulla will look to earn back-to-back victories for the first time this season when they face off with Wauchope RSL at Andrew's Park this Saturday.
