The learning circle is a joint project between Kempsey South Public School, Kempsey Place Plan, New Horizons and Macleay Options.
Principal Paul Byrne said the new outside learning area will be used for a range of activities for the school and community.
"We want the community to be able to use this space for meetings, as well as the students using it for classes and during lunch as a meeting place," he said.
"Kempsey Place Plan is creating areas like this around South Kempsey to try and beautify the area."
The learning circle project is a direct response to requests from students, parents and staff of Kempsey South Public School.
"It's a really exciting opportunity for the school. We want the P&C to be able to use it as a meeting place and we're also looking at getting Wi-Fi throughout the school and teachers can then conduct lessons outside," Mr Byrne said.
"The school community is very grateful to the team at Kempsey Place Plan for being behind this project and also to the guys at Macleay Options who built the circle.
"We're looking forward to using the learning circle and hope it will help engage the students in their classes."
