Chayse Trappel has been selected as the Kempsey Macleay RSL Club's Sportsperson of the Month for February.

Chayse recently competed at the Little Athletics Regionals Carnival in Newcastle.
The eight-year-old won three gold and one silver medal in his four nominated events.
The athlete backed it up the following week when he won his age group in the Trial Bay Triathlon.
Chayse continued to dominate numerous sports when he also won the Macleay District Motorcycle Club grass track race in his division.
The junior has also been selected into the Football Mid North Coast Under-9s representative side, which trains out of Gladstone, and competes in monthly gala days held all across NSW.
Chayse also represents South West Rocks in the local football competition.
For his selection as Sportsperson of the Month, Chayse received a $100 voucher for the RSL's restaurant.

A sportsperson of the year will be decided upon in January 2020 with an additional voucher of $500 for the restaurant awarded to the winner.
A panel of judges from the Macleay Argus will determine the monthly and year winners of the award.
