The new retirement village project is expected to be finished around September or October, but some lucky locals have already had a sneak peak of what's on offer.
"This was the first general opening we've held for the public. We had tours of the villas every 30 minutes and were able to answer any questions locals had," special projects manager from Thompson Health Care, Sarah Rodgers, said.
"We were overwhelmed with the response of visitors on the day, we had around 60 people coming out for a look."
Most of the groundwork for the newly built villas is finished with only inside fittings and last minute touches before they are move-in ready.
"It won't take much longer now. The Country Club is almost finished as well, so locals will be able to come and view the villas as well as the club very soon," Ms Rodgers said.
"We're really excited to be welcoming people. On Sunday we had people already putting down deposits for their spot for a villa."
Each villa is two bedrooms with a flexi room, includes two bathrooms and a two car garage. There are also two styles to choose from, a terrace villa and courtyard villa.
"Everyone seemed really impressed with the designs of the villas and some couldn't choose which one they want."
Macleay Valley Village is situated adjacent to Macleay Valley House Aged Care in Frederickton and is expected to be open later in the year. Open days will be held each Sunday from 11am to 2pm.
