The club was able to field sides from Under-6s right through to Under-14s, including the inaugural Girls League Tag Team, for the regular 12 round competition thanks to the excellent number of registered players.
Smithtown JRL are showing a real depth of player talent across the age groups, with the Under-11s finishing third on the ladder despite some very tough competition.
The Under-12s and Under-13s advanced to the minor semi-finals, which was played in Coffs Harbour on Saturday August 10.
The Under-14s, who are playing in the preliminary final this Saturday, have a chance of securing a place in the grand final, which will be played the following week in Kempsey.
The club has several players and coaching staff selected in Group 2 representative teams, with games to be played after the regular season concludes.
All of Smithtown JRL players and coaching staff have shown growth and continue to develop skills that will serve them well in the coming seasons.
Smithtown JRL will celebrate all players and teams during their Presentation Day, which is to be held at the Smithtown Sport and Recreational Club on Sunday September 15.
