Kempsey recorded 8mm of rain while South West Rocks had a healthy 21mm fall.
The disappointing amount in Kempsey came after Weatherzone predicted up to 25mm of rain for the drought affected area.
Fortunately, more rain is expected to fall today and tomorrow.
There is an 80 per cent chance of between 5 and 10mm or rain in Kempsey today and the same amount is predicted to fall in South West Rocks.
There is a smaller chance of 60 per cent of between 5 and 10mm in Kempsey tomorrow and the same amount and percentage is predicted for South West Rocks.
The weather is expected to return to sunny over the weekend but showers are forecast for early next week.
Fingers crossed more rain continues to fall.
