Kempsey Race Club secretary-manager John Graham told the Argus the entry numbers were higher than ever and there will be a lot of quality horses competing.
"It's the most acceptances we have had outside of the Kempsey Cup," Graham said.
"There have been a couple of cancelled meetings over the past month because of the bushfires and smoke so I think that has inflated the numbers."
There will be seven races on the day with the first jumping at 1.50pm.
Gates open at 11am and full TAB and canteen facilities will be available.
