Big Nobby is home to rare and threatened plant species that thrive in the headland's open grasslands.
The survival of these plants is at risk from weed invasion and other factors including the proliferation of walking tracks.
Local volunteers have been successfully removing the weed and garden escapee Mother of Millions, which has the potential to overrun the grasslands.
The group is seeking more helpers to continue this work and care for the headland's environmental values.
Tools, gloves and instructions will be available following the information session, but if you have your own 'kit' then please bring them along.
Please wear suitable work wear including covered footwear, and stay for the morning tea provided. For more information contact the Macleay Landcare Network on 6562 2076 and 0458 945 586, or email andy.macleaylandcare@gmail.com.
