There was a great field of 76 players on the day, and aside from the usual cohort of members, visitors from Frederickton, Crescent Head, SWR, Massey Park, Monash, Nambucca Heads and Muree all came along for the event.
A big thank you goes to the helpers, and all the volunteers during the week for their work on the course.
Taking out the day with a fantastic net score of 12 under par 60, was the pairing of James Benson, and from Frederickton, Brad Cooper, after the pair recorded a gross score of 62 (10 under).
In the runner up spot was the pair of Angus Crotty and his partner, Josh Hughes, with their net score of 641/4.
The weekly ball competition saw players with a net score of 681/2 receive a ball, and they can be collected from the pro shop at the club anytime along with any unclaimed vouchers from the event.
Winners of the ntp's at the 3rd hole were Kevin Smith "A", Peter Callaghan "B", David Tehan "C".
On the 8th hole, the winners were Ian Rudd "A", Daniel Baker "B", Luke Morris "C", while the 11th hole saw Rudd "A" and Chris Hudson "C" take the top spot.
With the Coronavirus casting a big concern, the Kempsey Golf Club has made the decision to alter this weeks event to an 18 hole Single Stableford instead of the advertised 4ball event.
On the day, all precautions should be taken to prevent the spread of the virus and remember to keep yourself 1.5mts away from your playing partners.
All players on the day should read the notice board for rules.
Intending players can book in now at the club, or go online to book in for your round of golf.
As always, visitors are most welcome to play, and can give the club a call anytime to book in, or learn more about upcoming events.
