Many started the day listening to the radio, TV or the special app for the service. From their lounge rooms, verandahs or driveways, they remembered those Australians who fought in all wars, both past and present.
Candles were lit as the bugle played the Last Post, and people stood still for the minute's silence and then Reveille.
Throughout the ceremony, people visited the cenotaph at Stuarts Point to place flowers in memory of those who served or died in the wars.
Wreaths were laid by families remembering loved ones, Mid North Coast Legacy, Stuarts Point RSL Sub Branch, Kempsey Shire Council and Stuarts Point Public School.
Those who served were not forgotten.
LEST WE FORGET.
