A MAN who was pulled from the water at Crescent Head's main beach this afternoon has died.
About 3.15pm on Saturday, May 15, emergency services were called to Killick Beach at Crescent Head, after reports a man had been pulled from the water unconscious.
He was treated by witnesses prior to the arrival of police and paramedics, who continued treatment, but he sadly died at the scene.
A NSW Ambulance Spokesperson confirmed crews conducted CPR on the man but were unable to revive him.
The man was believed to be aged in his 60s.
Officers from Mid North Coast Police District have commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Police, NSW Ambulance and Surf Lifesaving crews attended the scene.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
