With three Nulla teams in the second grade twenty/20 competition, the chances of two club wins were high and ultimately that's what was achieved.
Nulla Bucketeers vs Nulla C&G was the first match at Kemp Street with C&G winning the toss and bowling first.
A 46-run opening stand between Phil Dowling and Pat Preston (23) got the Bucketeers off to a great start.
The dismissal of Preston by David Turnbull (1/24) brought Ian Dyet to the crease as the fun continued for the batting side.
Dyet (36) and Dowling put on a 66-run partnership before Barry Pogson salvaged some momentum for his side, taking three wickets before Bucketeers reached 4/161 from their 20 overs.
Dowling finished with 76 off 49 balls with 10 boundaries in total.
The C&G run chase never got going with the wickets shared between the Bucketeers.
George Hill (27), Jason Norman (21) and Ray Clarke (28) were the only players to reach double figures with C&G finishing 9/116 from their 20 overs.
Mark Smee (2/10 off 3) was the pick of the bowlers.
Nulla Billy Goats vs Rovers followed on that fixture as the toss-winning side (Rovers) once again put their opponents into bat.
Trent Di Gioia (36) and Zac McKiernan (30) were the main men with the bat for the Billy Goats with Riley Mitchell and Carlin Dunbar-Rudd grabbing two wickets each for Rovers.
Rovers were tasked with chasing 144 and weren't off to a great start at 1/8.
The wickets continued to fall as Alan Hetherington (21) and Mackenzie Booth (15) top-scored for their side as Rovers were bowled out for 80.
McKiernan (3/13), Mathew Ennis (2/19) and Nic Hughes (2/9) were the biggest wicket-takers for their side.
