Nambucca Valley Council is calling for all residents impacted by the 2021 storm to complete a short survey on their experiences with the weather event.
Of particular interest are rain gauge readings, flood height levels, speed and directions.
All survey responses will be collated and assessed by the WMA Water company to compare with previous flood modelling and build greater accuracy for the future.
In the face of a potential increase in storm events, this work will help inform the council's actions and long-term strategies for managing local flood risk.
The survey can be found at this link or a hard copy can be obtained by contacting Nambucca Valley Council.
