Pat competes in the Under-12s and has had a great year despite not being able to play all of the scheduled tournaments due to other sporting commitments.
Pat overcame the setbacks to still amass enough points to qualify for Grafton two weeks ago and he won the tournament to qualify for the Champion of Champions tournament.
The Kempsey Tennis Club member was also presented with a cheque from the club of $250 to help with the expenses associated with competing in the tournament.
Kempsey Tennis Club coach Geoff Colton believes Pat has plenty of potential in the sport.
“Pat has a bright tennis future ahead of him so let’s all wish him well for the tournament this weekend,” Colton said.
“I hope we get some rain but I hope it isn’t enough to wash out the tournament completely.”
