A 34-year-old man appeared via video link in Kempsey Local Court yesterday charged with two alleged domestic-related stabbings.

The incident occurred on October 24 at a South West Rocks address.
A brief of evidence regarding the incident has been passed onto the DPP for review.

The 34-year-old man is charged with two counts of wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and one count of destroy or damage property.
Emergency services were called to a home in South West Rocks following reports that two people had been injured in an alleged altercation.
A 66-year-old woman and a 78-year-old man were treated at the scene by paramedics, before being taken to Kempsey Hospital for treatment to serious stab wounds. They were later transferred to Port Macquarie Base Hospital and listed in a serious but stable condition.
A short time later a 34-year-old man was arrested a short distance away.
Magistrate B Thomas said the case will hopefully proceed to the next stage in March.
The matter has been adjourned and will return to court on March 20.
