The remainder of the season is just set to be a good test of character for the team."
- Nulla captain Ben Taylor
The side has now been on the wrong end of the score board in nine of their 11 matches this season with their only wins coming against Macquarie and Rovers early in the season.
The latest loss hurt the most as Nulla were in a position to claim the victory but their batsmen suffered a collapse and gave Rovers the advantage.
The loss also cemented Nulla's spot on the bottom of the table as they sit seven points adrift of the next best Taree West, with four rounds remaining in the regular season.
Nulla's finals aspirations have completed ended and captain Ben Taylor claims the focus is on ending the season on a strong point.
"The remainder of the season is just set to be a good test of character for the team," Taylor told the Argus.
"We will try and punch up and make it harder for some of the top teams."
Nulla face three top four sides over as many games as they host competition leaders Wingham this Saturday, followed by a trip to Wauchope and then they battle United to finish the tough stretch.
