The inaugural Bands on Belmore, held on Saturday, was a resounding success as the Belmore River Hall Trust Committee raised more than $4660.

The community's enthusiasm was highly encouraging as it was estimated more than 350 people attended.
The core concept of Bands on Belmore is to help showcase local talent and to support the growth of up and coming musicians in the Macleay.
The income earned for a small country hall is often limited, but the committee feels strongly that if they embrace the importance of evolving and growing with the needs of the local community, then the hall will flourish into the future.
Every cent raised from Bands on Belmore will go back into the hall for ongoing maintenance and improvements.
The committee extended their gratitude to the bands who played and for the donations from Crescent Head Gourmet Butchery, Crescent Head Foodworks and Crescent Head bottle shop were greatly appreciated.
Community members and Lions club volunteers also generously donated their time to the event.
The committee would like to express their sincere thanks to everyone involved.
The audience are to be commended on their fine behaviour during the evening.
The committee will attempt to hold the event on an annual basis after positive feedback from patrons.
