South West Rocks Surf Life Saving Club (SWRSLC) has added another accolade to their resume by being named the Surf Life Saving Mid North Coast Branch 'Club of the Year' at the recent Surf Life Saving Mid North Coast (SLSMNC) branch awards night.

"It's a great achievement to win the prestigious SLSMNC Club of the Year, and we can't wait to represent the branch at the State awards in August," SWRSLC Director of Marketing, Grahame Ball said.
"The board of directors has been working hard during the shutdown on strategic planning across all facets of the club. We are looking forward to a bigger, better 2020/21 season."

Other winners on the virtual presentation night included:
Initiative of the Year for the inaugural Macleay Nippers, which was a collaboration between South West Rocks, Hat Head and Kempsey-Crescent Head Surf Clubs.
Craig Schweikert was named trainer of the year, and Hary Fitzjohn received a High Commendation for the Rookie of the Year category.
The Club of the Year, Trainer of the Year and Initiative of the Year categories will all progress to the Surf Life Saving New South Wales Awards of Excellence, currently scheduled to be held virtually in September.
It has been a positive season for SWRSLC all round, with multiple successful rescues in hazardous conditions, several outings in competition, three bronze medallion training groups and the centenary celebrations late last year.
